45ft Alfred Burgoine of Kingston Steam Launch
Built in 1901 she was used as an umpire's launch because her speed. Now resides on Lake Windermere, Cumbria.

 

The oil fired water tube boiler from the steam launch Souvenier D'antan, based on Lake Windermere. This picture shows one side of the new tube nest of 308 tubes.
The boiler laid on its side during removal of the water tubes, 11 rows of 28 tubes.
NDT examination was carried out on both the Mud Drum, and the Steam Drum for any tube ligament cracking.
Partial re-tubing of the boiler with 5/8" o/dia tube. A total of 300 metres weighing a quarter of a ton were required. Steve Fortune and Ian Hatch expanding tubes.
